Great blog. I know I miss the good ‘old days and it seems like I can never get back what I once had. Newer versions of the old shows are not what I remember them to be (I’m looking at you Saved by the Bell).
As the world seemed to be in chaos last fall, my husband and I signed up for Hulu to watch Animaniacs. We felt we needed a good laugh. Maybe it was because of everything around us, but we just didn’t laugh like we remembered.
But yet I still love those things- or at least the ideas I think. Seems like it’s time to break out the 90s trivial pursuit.
Some find it cool to share these shows we grew up with to our kids. All polished up with a few new faces to mix in some diversity. Only to sit through an hour of shame while your childhood memories are devastated by a talentless graduate from CSUN who wasn't even alive when the original show was last on air. They say that the old is now new. I think this new generation of writers who lack an ounce of creativity and originally are making the old into shit.
